projects on breakthrough cooling and heating technologies<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c63b5b4 elementor-widget class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Dr Jaka Tu\u0161ek, Associate Professor at the Laboratory of Non-linear Mechanics, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, and his research group have been awarded funding for two projects under the Horizon Europe \u2013 The European Innovation Council (EIC) 2023 call for proposals[1]: SMACool, which aims to develop a functional air conditioners based on elastocaloric technology, and the FROSTBIT project, which has the main objective of developing the first operational refrigerator based on a completely new barocaloric technology in a regenerative chiller.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ef09e0d elementor-align-center
